September is going to be an interesting writing month for me. During the first week I'll be finishing up at the job, so writing time will still be limited. The second week will mostly be about recovering from the previous six weeks. At the same time my school year position is restarting so I'll be doing a lot of setup for that. The final two weeks of the month are filled with High Holiday preparation and celebration, which inevitably takes away a lot of writing time. I don't like the fact that my goals list is therefore going to be as sparse as August's was, but I don't think I have any other choice. Here's what I think I can accomplish in September:

Only one more week to go at my summer job. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. The good news is that I did get the Microsoft Word app to work on my phone so I was actually able to get some writing done. I would have liked to do more, but I can't be disappointed with the progress I was able to make given the difficult circumstances.
Goal number one, plain and simple, is to survive the job. It is difficult for so many reasons, not the least of which is the fact that to my employers I'm just a faceless body they can underpay for far too much work. Okay, rant over. Anyway, my writing time has really dipped down because of the crazy hours. I've discovered the Microsoft Word app for my phone and am hoping I'll be able to sneak in some extra time during my break at work. This goals list is more hope than actual belief I'll complete any of it, but you never know.
I did manage to get a lot done this month! Too bad that next month I'm going to be far too busy. That's why my biggest goal for July was to write as much as possible. Here's how I did:
July is a month of ups and downs for me. I enjoy summer and July is when the last vestiges of spring finally fade away. My birthday is also this month and I love presents just as much as anyone. There is a big downside though: my job from hell starts on the 24th. It's six days a week, full time, for six straight weeks. It's tiring and it's infuriating, but they pay me, which is why I go back every year. What the start of the job from hell means is as of the 24th my writing time utterly vanishes. I'll be able to squeak in a few minutes here or there, but any progress won't be significant. I need to get as much as possible done this month before the job starts and my goals list reflects that. Here's what I'm planning:
I would classify June as a great success. I addition to the goals I accomplished I also received and returned the edits for Dragon Consultant. The Oracle's Sprite round two edits also arrived and I started working on those too. I got a lot of writing done and am in a good place to keep going strong into July.
I had a lot of trouble sticking to my goals last month. My muses were all over the place for some reason. Hopefully I'll be able to stay focused this month. There's plenty of writing to be done. Here's my June Goals:
May ended up being a pretty interesting month. I got a lot written, but not for the stories actually in my goals list. I also got to go shopping for a new car. The former was excellent, but the latter really wasn't. I know I'm going to like my new car a whole heck of a lot more than my old one, but the hassle of one car dying and having to scramble for a new one wasn't fun. Anyway, here's how I managed with my goals for May:
April showers bring May flowers, which also brings along allergies. I am allergic to being outside in the Spring, so I'll be sneezing and sniffling all month long. It's awful, but at the same time I love being outside and playing in the dirt. My strawberries are coming up and pretty soon the vegetable garden will be going in. There's lots to look forward to and hopefully I'll be able to get a lot of writing done too.
Passover did take up a very large chunk of my writing time for the first week of April, but after that it was smooth sailing. I got a good bit written and have also planned out a lot of future writing. Then the edits for The Oracle's Sprite arrived and getting those done trumped writing. I still managed to get a lot completed. Here's how I did in April:
