Things are happening at an incredible pace right now. Every time I try to write a blog post, something new comes up and I have to scrap what I've written. I'm hoping to get this one posted before that happens again! Let me break all the news up into readable sections: Accepted Manuscripts

Dragon Dilemma
7/7/20
Dragon Dilemma is available for preorder at NSP. It comes out on July 20th, but if you buy from NSP you can get it three days earlier! (FYI, if you already own Dragon Dilemma, not much has changed in this re-release.) I have also seen the first draft of the new cover and it's as amazing as the rest of the series. I can't wait to share it too. Road to Revenge and Road to Home were both accepted for publishing at NSP! I very rarely write contemporary, but I loved writing both of these spy stories. In fact, prior to my writing Magnified, I think this series was my favorite. I don't know when they'll reach edits, but it should be a fun process when they do! For now, you can check out the series on my website and I'll let you know when they start to move towards publishing. I successfully closed on my house, so now I need to focus on getting packed and getting moved. As I write this, a child is screeching in the hallway and someone is blasting music from their car in the parking lot. I cannot get away from this apartment fast enough and am looking forward to having my own, quiet place to finally get some writing done! 5/03/20
I have a bunch of books coming out in the next few weeks, so I wanted to update you on where they stand: Ge-Mi: Part Two This story is completely ready to go. I finished the proofreader's final edits and have seen the draft of the cover. All that's left is for the ARCs to go out, which will happen soon. Part Two is scheduled to come out in May, and I expect to have a firm date once NSP posts it for pre-order on their website. I am incredibly excited for this story to come out. Not only have readers waited literally years for it, but it is the first brand new story of mine NSP is releasing. I'm super excited to see how a new book does with my new publisher. Dragon Deception Book Two in my Supernatural Consultant series is starting to take shape. I have completed the copy edits for the story, which means all that's left is the proofreader. I have seen a draft of the cover, and it is as awesome as the cover for the first book. It will 100% be ready to go by June. Given the amazing reception Dragon Consultant has been getting, I'm certain Deception will also do really well. Dragon Dilemma Dilemma is also making great strides in its journey towards reprinting. I just finished the second round of edits and the story turned out really well. The editor likes the story, which means all my new readers will like it too! I have also submitted the cover form, so that's in progress too. There's still a lot to do for this story, but I think we're ahead of schedule for a July release, which is good. 4/16/20
I hope everyone had a lovely holiday (whatever you happen to celebrate). I had a nice zeder (zoom Seder) with family and friends for Passover. Social distancing at its best. Please stay safe and healthy out there! Since my last post, I have been working hard on a number of different projects. Number one is new edits, of course. The first and second round of edits for Dragon Deception, book two in my Supernatural Consultant series, arrived. Overall, there wasn't much to fix, however some small things were changed in order to make this series YA. Next for Deception is copy edits, which should arrive soon, and the first round of edits for Dragon Dilemma should also be on their way. My last fairy tale story, A Heart's Dream, is complete! This means the anthology is also complete. I still need to put A Heart's Dream through edits to get it ready for submission, and to do that properly it first needs to sit for a month. I'll pick it up sometime in May, get it and the rest of the stories in the anthology completely ready to go, and then I get to wait for NSP's go ahead to resume submissions. Despite the wait, I know those of you that have begged me to republish my older fairy tales will be happy to know they, and some new material, will all soon be available for you again. I'll definitely keep you appraised as this project moves forward. I have also been working with NSP on some more covers. I have seen the first draft of the cover for Ge-Mi: Part Two and have been in discussion about the covers for Dragon Deception and Dragon Dilemma. I think you're going to like them all, and I'm eager to get them out for you to see too. Hopefully I'll have final drafts to share soon! I am still planning to return to The Oracle's Current as my next project. I would like to be able to submit it along with the rest of the (newly fixed) series when NSP says I can send in more books, but that means I need to get cracking now. Thankfully the story seems to have stopped fighting me, but I won't know if it will go smoothly until I start writing again. I'm eager to get started. 10/10/19
You read the title of this post correctly! I have some new release dates to share with everyone. These are tentative dates. I only have the release month and they are subject to change, but I'm so excited to have them to share with you. Here's what I've got:
I know March seems like it's really far away, but there's a lot to get completed before then. Multiple rounds of edits, of course, plus everything else that goes into getting a book ready for publishing. I'm a little concerned that they're all getting released so close together, as it will be A LOT of work on my part to get all those edits completed, but this is the fastest everyone involved can work to get my books back out as soon as possible. As you can see, Dragon Detective and Dragon Soldier were both accepted for publishing at NSP. I'm hopeful they will also accept the last three books (and I'm hopeful editing the entire series again will galvanize me into finishing Dragon Spy). I have also submitted both books in my Wizard Wars Series to NSP. Ground of Resurrection (book two) was the one you all got to pre-order, but were never able to read. I don't know where they might fit into this release schedule should NSP accept them, but I'm looking forward to finding out. 8/16/19
When I sent in Ge-Mi for consideration with NineStar Press, I also sent in Dragon Consultant, the first book in my Supernatural Consultant series. I'm happy to report that not only did NineStar accept Dragon Consultant, they requested to take a look at the rest of the series! I have since signed contracts for Dragon Deception (book two) and Dragon Dilemma (book three). While I won't make any promises, I'm hopeful the rest of the series will soon be accepted as well. Like with Ge-Mi, all my Supernatural Consultant books will be going through a thorough editing. I don't know what that means in terms of changes to the stories, but I will let you know the second I know. I am hoping that going through the editing process again will help galvanize me into working on Dragon Spy, the next book in the series. There's a lot to write still, but I already know it's going to be a fun story. I hope to have more Supernatural Consultant news to share with you all in the near future. I'm running late on my goals this month. Very late. In my defense I'm in the process of moving and that's taking up a lot of my time. Here's how I did in May:
Dragon Dilemma |
Dane doesn't get along with his parents. He hasn't spoken with his mother in years and he's never met his father. Somehow his mother finds out about Mercury and the kits anyway, and it's difficult to throw one's mother out when she happens to be a powerful, dangerous witch. She isn't the only uninvited guest either, and these ones are even less likely to take no for an answer—and much more likely to leave everyone dead if they don't get what they want.
