Today's stop on my blog tour is with the lovely Sasha Miller. She gave me the opportunity to talk about the stress and hard work that goes into publishing a book, particularly my first book Finding the Wolf. The subsequent books in the series were easier to get published, but no less stressful. I'm more than happy with the final product, but that first step was a bit of a doozy for me.

Today my blog tour is stopping by to visit with the wonderful Megan Derr! She's practically the expert on dragons at LT3, and I didn't want to step on any toes, so I decided to talk a little bit about the other main character in my book--a witch named Jerney. I found it difficult to figure out what abilities and powers my witches would have in The Dragon's Hoard, especially since like dragons they have an endless history to explore, but I think I figured it out.
Read all about it on Megan's blog: http://maderr.livejournal.com/1606331.html I've been asking everyone to tell me their favorite mythos about dragons and now it's my turn to reciprocate. K-Lee Klein gave me an amazing opportunity on her blog to expound on the various dragon myths that have effected me and my writing and have influenced the creation of my dragons in the Dragon's Hoard Series.

The Dragon's Hoard Series was fun to write, but it was also challenging. Dragons have such a varied history with so much beauty and power that I struggled quite a bit with figuring out how to write my own dragons. Joyfully Jay was kind enough to give me a moment to expand on that process for all of you!
Please go check it out: http://joyfullyjay.com/2013/02/guest-post-and-giveaway-dragons-hoard-by-mell-eight.html My blog tour to promote Stealing the Dragon has begun! Today I'm visiting Babes in Boyland. They were nice enough to give me the opportunity to talk about my most favorite main character ever, a little dragon named Tori. Tori stole my heart from the very first moment I put him into print. He's always happy and vivacious, with an eagerness to explore and experience new things, and I was helpless against his constant onslaught of cute. Tori is easily my favorite character in the entire Dragon's Hoard Series and Babes in Boyland gave me the chance to explain why.

Dragon's Hoard Book One: Finding the Wolf is out today! Please go buy it from LT3's book store. When Prince Leon disappears and his people are
unable to find him, they turn to the dragons for help. Nyle is the unlucky dragon tasked with finding the missing prince, a duty he dreads as it forces him into the confounding human world and away from his collection of pretties. Locating a missing prince should be a simple matter, but if Nyle has learned anything about humans since being forced out among them it's that they needlessly complicate everything. When he finally locates the errant prince, however, what Nyle finds is a treasure worth all the complications—worth protecting at all costs. |
