LT3 is turning four years old. In celebration I, and many of my fellow authors, are blogging about the things we love and are also hosting giveaways! If you want to visit some of the other authors who are also participating, follow this link: http://www.lessthanthreepress.com/blog/?p=17 The Giveaway is closed. Congratulations Kayla! I am holding an Anthology Giveaway. The winner will get their choice of one of my back list anthologies in their preferred electronic format. You can see what they are HERE. Your choices include:
Of those three, my favorite is Hadash Aviv. I think it has a depth and mystery to it that the other stories lack, but it has a difficult subject matter so be warned. My readers favor Cleanly Wrong because of how sweet and fairytale-like it is. I admit that The Jack O' Lantern's Grin lacks the finesse of the other two, but it is still a fun and enjoyable read! To enter my Anthology Giveaway:
The winner will be chosen on 4/14/13 via Random.org and will have 48 hours to respond to my congratulatory email before a new winner is chosen. Let's all wish Less Than Three Press the happiest of birthdays!

First, lovely part 1 post...I completely agree. I am a reader/reviewer, but I've had the chance to talk with the lovely ladies of LT3 and beyond professionalism they are just wonderful people!

I completely agree with you about the fantasy genre. I enjoy reading, and writing, about other worlds where magic and dragons reign supreme. There's something so gripping about weaving together new places and cultures within the fantasy genre that I completely love.

And dragons are my favorite! Goes to show what initially attracted me to your Dragon's Hoard series. :D 4/2/2013 03:17:27 am

I saw your history blog and I thought it was very interesting. I was a history minor in undergrad, so I really enjoyed everything you had to say.

There's nothing wrong with curling up with a good book! I'm partial to paperback myself, because they're so much easier to curl around than a hard piece of electronics, but any good story in any format still makes me smile.

I am a fan of your Cleanly Wrong story, mostly because of the idea of logic versus rules in the organization business. I am fascinated, mostly because I cannot organize my thoughts, much less my house. I own all of your books, except Hadash Aviv. If I do not win in your give away, I will buy it towards the end of April (vacation until 4/15). Am anxiously awaiting the next installment in the Dragon's Hoard. An congratulations to Less Than 3 Press on four years in this crazy business. As a reader, I appreciate the variety of publishers. Thanks for the giveaway.

Cleanly Wrong was so much fun to write because I could poke fun at established rules that I don't follow in my own life. There is a line in the story about Rung sleeping with the soft blanket against his skin instead of the top sheet that comes from my own life. I drive my mom crazy because I'm all happy and snuggled while the top sheet has mysteriously vanished.

I like swords, but clearly not as much as you do! I once took a fencing class in high school, which only taught me how terribly uncoordinated I am.

When I lived in Boston I used to spend entire afternoons walking around the secondhand bookstores. I found so many great things, but usually I just enjoyed the atmosphere. Now that I'm back home, where the only bookstore is a B&N, I content myself with my own large library.

I love spending time with my siblings. We're all older now so seeing each other isn't easy anymore. But I love those moments when we all gather, cook a meal together, and spend time talking or watching something together.

I can't relate to that at all! I'm the older sibling and my two younger sisters are still spoiled brats (I am too). They come home from college and drive me bonkers! I guess when we're all older and have moved to more mature places in our lives that might change, but for right now I enjoy them at a distance.

I love cities, and I love dragons--but not together! I'd love to read your Dragon's Hoard series. Thank you!

Thanks for stopping by! I'll remember you want to play with dragons. Luckily, none of my dragons live in a big city, so you should enjoy them.

I have to agree with Cecile about second hand book shops but I have to tell myself that I have a limit before I go in. They are too tempting otherwise. ([email protected]).

Limits are important. Usually I try to bring someone less enthused with me so they can pull me away when they start getting impatient. It's very effective.

I've just read Hadash Aviv and LOVED it, but I would love a chance to read Cleanly Wrong!

You have no idea how happy I am to know you really liked Hadash Aviv. That is the short story I'm most proud of, but it's also the one the fewest people are reading. Hearing that someone else loves Hadash Aviv as much as I do is wonderful! Thank you so much for your support.

I love secondhand bookstores (and record stores!) too...heading to a couple this morning (hoping to sell, but will probably buy, too--uh, oh)!

I don't see how you can step into a bookstore and not buy. It's practically impossible!

I love watching food related shows on the Food Channel. I wish that I could be eating most of what I see on it.

I get some of my best ideas from watching cooking shows! The first time I had to get the goop out of an avocado I remembered watching them do the same thing on Iron Chef America. I grabbed a spoon and had that green goo in the bowl in record time! I don't know what I'd do without my cooking shows!

Something I haven't talked about yet is that I love numbers. People are often said to be either/or when it comes to words and numbers, but I love both. In school, I loved doing math, and I loved writing essays and papers. As an adult, I don't get too much math in besides the basics, so my little love affair stays hidden, waiting to come back into the light.

If it weren't for my fingers and toes, math would be beyond me entirely. I'm a liberal arts student, not a math/science one. Kudos to you for loving numbers and thanks for stopping by!
