Read Part 1 LT3 asked us to blog about the little things that we love so we could celebrate in style. I took a picture of one wall in my bedroom that I really feel exemplifies everything that I love. First off, it is a wall of bookshelves, full of books. I love to read and to write, which does explain why I'm an author. It's a small selection of all the books I own and regularly reread. On the wall are all sorts of fun pictures. I love cats, even though I don't own one, which is why there is a stuffed kitty peaking its eyes out from some hardcover books and cat pictures everywhere. It could also be why there's a Lion King sheet music book, but I bought that because it's my favorite musical too. The Lion King shares that top spot with Les Mis, because I couldn't choose between them. I really enjoy singing and music. I attend every musical I can get tickets for and I sang in choirs from Middle School all the way through Graduate School. If I could find an adult choir in my area I would still be singing. In my iTunes playlist, the two most listened to songs are by Pink and Bruno Mars. I love their voices and their lyrics. I'm also an avid sports fan. There is a miniature Boston Redsox helmet hanging on the wall and the picture of a guy's legs above Fairytales Slashed V. 4 is of a soccer player. You can't see any of my Ravens paraphernalia in the picture, but it's there. I was literally the happiest person in the room when the Ravens won the Superbowl. I'm Jewish, if you haven't noticed from reading Hadash Aviv or the summary for my upcoming story Road to Revenge, and there is a Jewish Star in the black frame hidden behind yet another stack of books. My religion effects who I am and how I see the world in every aspect, and I feel it colors my writing even when my main characters aren't Jewish too. If you see something in the picture that you want to know more about, feel free to ask! I love questions too. I wish the happiest of birthdays to LT3 and hope for yet another great year working together. In celebration, I'm joining many different LT3 authors in hosting a giveaway! In order to make it easier for me to count the winner, I've made a separate post specifically for said giveaway.

I love pictures of people's bookshelves. Mine looks like yours, but messier and definitely dustier! I have a question, since you love them (I do, too.), do you have a preference for book format? Paperback or Hardback? Or are you switching to e-books more?

I read those books too often for them to get dusty! You should see my shelves in the basement, if you want dusty books.
